With a rare weekday of no school and sunny skies, my boys and I headed to the Bronx Zoo last week. This world-class zoo has so many exhibits for the entire family and is only a short ride from our area. Kids will love the 4D Theater experience which is a kid friendly 3D film plus some built in sensory effects (recommended for children ages 6 and up). The recently re-designed Children's Zoo is also a great hands-on experience where kids can feed goats and pet sheep. And where else can you get this close to a tiger!
