Museum Passes From Your Local Library

By Lisa Dunleavy July 22, 2019

Did you know that you can borrow a museum passes from the library to visit some of the top museums in NYC at no cost?

My family borrowed a pass to go to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in NYC from my library in Chappaqua.  I reserved the pass online and picked it up from the information desk.  The pass was good for six people to visit the Intrepid. When we got to the Intrepid, we went to the Members line to pick up our tickets. It was very easy and we avoided the ticket buying line!

The Intrepid is a terrific museum!  We were able to walk throughout the ship, see the variety of war planes plus watch a film detailing the history of the aircraft carrier.  There are also some fun, simulated ride experiences.

Other NYC museum passes that are available include the Museum of Natural History, Guggenheim, Museum of Modern Art and many more. Plus there are also passes to local museums such as the Katonah Museum of Art and Stone Barns. You need to have a library card from the library to request a pass. For more information on how to secure a museum pass, visit the Chappaqua Library website, North Castle Library website, Mount Kisco Library website or the Mt. Pleasant Library website.
