The Holiday Light Spectacular at the Orange County Fairgrounds is every foodie’s answer for holiday treats! Not only will you wind your way through the spectacularly lit fairgrounds and enjoy our multi-media light show in the covered arena, also order delicious, holiday-themed foods from our vendors from the comfort of your car!
“Food is a crucial part of celebrating the holidays and we have all the classics like hot chocolate, egg nog, and chocolate dipped pretzels plus some new items like candy coated marshmallows, Mexican street corn empanadas, and even gingerbread house decorating kits,” said Mary Weber, event coordinator. “We wanted to bring some true holiday spirit to families in the Hudson Valley and beyond and we were able to come up with a concept that has something for everyone, all done in a safe, socially distanced environment.”
Guests will feel the spirit of the holiday season as they are immersed in thousands of lights and festive scenes placed throughout the fairgrounds. There are unique light displays and even specially designed animation segments along the way. Near the end of the drive thru, guests pull into the covered arena for a spectacular multi-media light show accompanied by popular holiday songs; the whole family should feel free to sing along!
The Holiday Light Spectacular will also feature some fair food favorites such as zeppoles, cotton candy, funnel cakes, fried candy bars, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and more!“We worked with our vendors to provide diverse options for food and drinks; marrying holiday traditions with those must-have fair delicacies,” said Weber. “I’ll have trouble choosing between zeppoles, Christmas cupcakes, pocket pies and all the other delicious desserts, so maybe I’ll have one of each.”

The Holiday Light Spectacular runs Thursdays - Sundays until December 17 and then from the 17th to January 3rd, the show opens daily. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the last car is admitted at 10 p.m.
