SplashDown Beach Water Park

By Lisa Dunleavy July 14, 2016
One of our favorite local excursions each summer is a day at SplashDown Beach in Fishkill, NY.  "America's Biggest Little Water Park" has just enough rides to keep my boys busy.  It is also very clean and well laid-out so it is easy for kids of all ages to walk around.

For older kids, the highlight is the Humunga Half-Pipe.  It's a tube ride where you can go solo or in a two person tube.  The first drop is pretty steep but it is a great ride!  Other top rides include Arctic Plunge Racer where you race your friends through the course and Bullet Bowl which is a tube ride that starts four stories high.  For little ones, there is a fun ride called the Water Wheeler where you spin around slowly and try to shoot water at other cars as well as a designated area for younger kids called SplashWorks.  There is also a lazy river and wave pool.

Prices are $35 for guests over 42 inches tall and $30 for kids under 42 inches or seniors.  You can get $5 off each admission by buying tickets online.  It's an easy 45 minute drive from our area, located just off Rte. 9 in Fishkill.  For more information, go to SplashDown Beach's website.
