Grand Prix New York - Bigger and Better Than Ever!

Attractions Include New Elevated Track Plus Grand Prix Extreme Play Park

By Lisa Dunleavy November 20, 2019

Grand Prix New York has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation and it is amazing! Macaroni Kid was given a sneak preview of their new multi-level go-kart race track plus the new Grand Prix Extreme Play park.

My son, Aidan, was my test driver for the new track and he came away very impressed. He has ridden the track at Grand Prix before and loved it, but now he says the cars are even more smooth and the track is even faster. The adult track (which can be driven by older tweens and teens who have adult permission) includes hairpin turns, elevation changes and cool cosmic lighting. You can race against your friends on more than 1,700 feet of track! The new environmentally-friendly go-karts are electric which results in a very smooth ride. Safety is paramount, this state-of-the-art flexible barrier system from Track 360 is equipped with electronically controlled karts, which will enable auto slowing or stopping if an accident is detected on the track. In addition to the adult track, there is a smaller track for juniors (295 feet) and even a 141 ft. "starter" track for kids as young as 4-6 years of age.

In addition to the new track, GPNY has created a completely new attraction within its walls -- the Grand Prix Extreme (GPX) park. There is something for kids of all ages in this new park! My son, Aidan, loved this new "Ninja" obstacle course as did my nephew, Brayden, and his friend, Morgan, who are both 7 years old.    Attractions include an 80' zip line, 13 climbing walls and structures, and an obstacle course similar to the style you see on the "ninja" shows on television. Brayden loved running across the rotation logs while dodging obstacles (known as the "meat Grindr"). Morgan loved the climbing walls and she was fearless! I watched her jump off the top of the wall feeling completely safe as the rope brought her back gently to the ground.

Grand Prix NY, located at 333 N. Bedford Road in Mt. Kisco, also has a huge arcade filled with fun games and Spins Bowl, which includes 19 bowling lanes. This venue is set up perfectly for birthday parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and corporate events with plenty of dining options available.
