Westchester County Boredom Busters: Ideas for Indoor Fun

Play Spaces, Museums & More

By Lisa Dunleavy and Kelly Fitzpatrick April 10, 2024

In our neck of the woods of Westchester County, we are lucky to have so many options for indoor play.  Indoor play spaces are such helpful spots for getting out of the house in all seasons!  If it's too hot, too cold, too wet, or you are in need of an extra-special play event, these play places around Westchester County are awesome spots for young children to get the wiggles out and have so much fun in the process.  Both gross motor development and fine motor development can benefit from these indoor play spots.  And if you don't mind a short drive to try something new, there are a number of indoor places for family fun just outside Westchester County, too.

This community guide is brought to you by our friends at The Tiny Mess Club!  The Tiny Mess Club offers sensory play experiences for children ages 1 - 5 in Pleasantville and Fleetwood. Single class drop-ins or class pass options available. The Summer Session is in progress and new friends are always welcome!

Here is the Macaroni KID round-up of ideas for indoor activities, museums and FREE play places. Click on the venue's name to get to their website.
