Learn to Knit - Virtually

Local Mom Hosts Yummy Mindful Knitting Workshops

May 26, 2020

Chappaqua mom, Jessica Meyrowitz, is a knitter and designer who creates handmade products using an oversized, 100% merino wool yarn. Her company, It’s a…Yummy, is a provider of Yummy Yarn and hand knit products including throws, baby blankets, pillows, wraps, hats, scarves and belts as well as DIY knitting kits.

During this difficult time of Covid19, Meyrowitz has come up with an idea to ensure social distancing yet facilitating a local connection - virtual Yummy Mindful Knitting Workshops.  She teaches participants to knit from the comfort and security of their own home via group Yummy Mindful Knitting Workshops using video conferencing - a virtual knitting class!  Meyrowitz says, "We can be socially distant and still be connected."  She instructs participants each step of the way and they are able to socialize with the other video conference attendees.

These virtual workshops have just been featured in The Washington Post and Parade Magazine  (check out #37 Yummy Mindful Knitting Workshops).
