Wondering where your little one can send a letter to Santa? Here are a couple of local ideas.
Mt. Kisco Public Library -- a special mailbox is waiting for your child's letter at the Mt. Kisco Library. According to the Library, "This is no ordinary mailbox; your letters don't just disappear to the North Pole never to be seen again. The letters you put in this special mailbox guarantee that Santa and his elves will reply back!" The mailbox will be in the lobby of the library until December 21st. Make sure you put your child's return name and address on the letter to get a reply.
New Castle Recreation & Parks -- in Chappaqua you can find mailboxes to send a letter to Santa at Gedney Park, the Community Center (10 Senter Street) and Town Hall First Floor Lobby. Mailboxes will be available for letters from November 20 - December 11. Make sure to include a return address on the letter.
You can also send a letter to Santa via the U.S. Post Office. Here's how:
- Have the child write a letter to Santa and place it in an envelope addressed to: Santa Claus, North Pole.
- Write a personalized response to the child's letter and sign it "From Santa."
- Insert both letters into an envelope, and address it to the child.
- Add the return address: SANTA, NORTH POLE, to the envelope.
- Ensure a First-Class Mail stamp is affixed to the envelope.
- Place the complete envelope into a larger envelope, with appropriate postage, and address it to:
