After learning so much from her relatable Instagram content, I first met Sandy Richards in person at the Few of My Favorite Things Small Business Showcase last fall. When I think back on my own childhood, and as the mother of young girls myself, I'm so glad to have Sandy as a resource for lighting the way toward building healthy habits of both body and mind. Raising daughters to look at themselves with a celebratory eye and not a critical one is no easy feat with both the media and society often putting so much pressure on us all to look or behave a certain way. Taking a class with Sandy is like a booster of feel-good energy and body positivity for you and your girls.

What is the story behind your business?
Having two young girls myself, I see first hand how important it is to model a healthy lifestyle for them. And young school-aged girls want nothing more than one-on-one undistracted time alone with their mom. So I decided to create a fitness program that is designed for Moms (or favorite female grown-up) and their daughters (ages 6-11) to learn fun ways to be healthy together. I also host weekend retreats for Moms and Daughters to find new ways to connect and learn healthy habits together.
What are some fun facts about you?
1) 1st Fitness Program sold out in under 4 days!
2) My oldest daughter who was 4 at the time helped me design the class
3) At the end of class, girls are usually begging for the class not to end!
What does your business offer its customers?
A fun and healthy way for Moms and Daughters to bond and connect, as well as learn healthy habits together.
I also offer private classes for events, mom/daughter days, and girl scout troops.
What are you most proud of?
Teaching young girls fun and new ways to move their bodies that they can be excited about! No more dreading working out or boring fitness or gym stuff!
