Rivertowns Music Group and The Briarcliff Recreation Department have been hard at work for months planning the first annual Picks 'n' Pickleball event to take place in Chilmark Park on Saturday, May 20th - RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, MAY 21st due to rain.
If family life has been cramping your festival vibes, this event makes it possible for people of all ages to join in on the fun. With a line-up of Americana and indie folk musicians, including Dan Zlotnick, Christine Chanel, and A Million Sweethearts you'll find yourself humming along while enjoying the sunshine. This event is awesome for all, and has gone the extra mile in ensuring the comfort of families so you can stay the day with plenty of entertainment and seating options.
The vendor village showcases 40+ local artisans, makers, and small businesses while the Captain Lawrence Beer Garden offers suds and picnic tables. Picnic in the large grassy area or sway up close to the stage. Five food trucks ensure there's something for every taste.
But let's talk Kids' Zone!
Shaded spots allow for comfortable play and local favorites including House of Rock, FunZone and The Westchester Children's Museum have a full day of programming planned. Soft play, sensory activities, and Macaroni KID crafts will also be available for the duration of the festival, as well as (velcro) axe throwing and a bounce house! And don't miss the opportunity to learn more about our local waterways, invasive species, and boating safety from our local Coast Guard Auxiliary just in time for the summer season. Pickleball clinics will also be available for kids and adults alike!
