A recent visit to the beautiful and welcoming space that is LOVE2LEARN in Bronxville brought all the teacher feels back to me. I was lucky enough to spend time chatting education with founder Remy Silvestre and we instantly clicked over shared values on igniting a love of learning and making the process joyful for all learners. Remy has taken her expertise, and I mean specialized expertise, and created an inviting space designed to meet children where they are. Her approach is innovative and individualized. Rather than offering a set schedule of programming, Remy offers a boutique experience customized to the needs of her clients. This offers parents flexibility in timing, and choice in small group or one-to-one instruction.
In addition to offering the best of the best approaches to helping struggling readers, LOVE2LEARN includes pop-ups on its calendar, such as the upcoming partnership Chocolate Works for a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed event. What is the story behind your business? How did you get started?
After working many years as a special educator, I came to the realization that a significant number of my students needed a more personalized approach that went beyond the limitations of the traditional classroom environment. This realization ignited a passion within me to establish a nurturing space that caters to children with diverse learning styles, ensuring that every child who enters feels supported and, above all, enthusiastic about the learning journey ahead.
What are some fun facts about you or your business?
With the slogan "Guiding Little Hearts Towards a Lifelong Love for Learning," LOVE2LEARN strives to achieve this goal by creating an environment that fosters creativity, imagination, and hands-on fun. Whether it involves writing in sand or shaving cream, exploring the magic magnetic wall, or enjoying reading sessions in the cozy reading tent, I am passionate about incorporating hands-on activities that truly capture the imaginations of my young learners.
What does your business offer its' customers?
LOVE2LEARN provides a variety of educational services for children starting at age 2. In addition to personalized 1:1 services, LOVE2LEARN offers private EI/SEIT services, pop-up events, and is currently introducing new small group options starting this month. As LOVE2LEARN continuously adapts to meet the needs of the families it serves, there are more offerings on the horizon. What are you most proud of?
My greatest sense of pride comes from the ongoing progress my students achieve and the enthusiasm they exude each time they step into my office. The highlight of my day is receiving a text message or email from a parent expressing their gratitude for the continual strides their children are making.
