Looking for fun things to do in Westchester County this fall? Westchester County is home to so many amazing attractions, and given its' prime location in the Hudson Valley many other fall attractions are only a drive away. Macaroni KID Westchester County is bringing you ten Hudson Valley favorites for the fall season.

1. Hudson Valley Pumpkin Blaze    

Van Cortlandt Manor, 525 South Riverside Ave, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520    

- Hours of Operation: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, September 29 – November 5; 6 PM to 9 PM    

- Admission: Adults starting at $20 (select days after 8 p.m.), standard ticket $34 - $42 in advance.  Children under 3 free. Ticket prices vary by day and time, and increase when purchased the day of.

Walk through a stunning display of intricately carved pumpkins, plus enjoy food and entertainment. 


2. Storm King Art Center    

1 Museum Rd, New Windsor, NY 12553    

- Hours of Operation: Daily from 10 AM to 5 PM (9 AM on weekends); open until 4 PM in November    

- Admission: Adults $25-$28, Children (ages 5-18) $15 - $18, under 5 free    

Explore large-scale outdoor sculptures set against beautiful fall foliage. 


3. Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens, PepsiCo

  700 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase 10577

- Hours of Operation: Open 10 am. - 4 p.m. on weekends from March through November

- Admission: Free   

Explore the sculpture collection amidst cultivated gardens/


4. FDR Presidential Library and Museum   

4079 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538    

- Hours of Operation: Daily from 9 AM to 5 PM    

- Admission: Adults $15, Youth (ages 15 and under) free    

Learn about President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s life and legacy while enjoying beautiful autumn views.


5. Craft Brewery Tour    

- Location: Varies

- Hours of Operation: Varies by establishment 

- Admission: Free entrance; cider tastings available for purchase

6Mohonk Mountain House    

- Location: 1000 Mountain Rest Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561    

- Hours of Operation: Open daily year-round; specific activities vary by season    

- Admission: Day passes available; $30–$65 for adults, children under 12 free for day guests    

Explore stunning landscapes, hiking trails, and family-friendly programs within this historic resort. 


7Apple Picking at Fishkill Farms     

-Location: 9 Fishkill Farm Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533     

- Hours of Operation: Daily from 10 AM to 5 PM (seasonal)     

- Admission: Tickets are sold by group of 1-5 people and start at $48. 

Enjoy apple picking, family activities, and fresh cider donuts in a picturesque orchard setting.
