Children and Teens

We’ll address concerns and conflicts by strengthening parent-child dynamics, helping parents better understand child development and form realistic expectations, and establish effective strategies for greater familial harmony. We will work on managing  dysregulation and behavioral challenges by utilizing the dynamic between child and caregiver(s). I support caregivers so that they can support their children.

Individuals of All Ages

We’ll work together to bolster your confidence, develop skills to manage stress, anxiety, and dysregulation, address past traumas, and strengthen supportive relationships and habits.

Specialties

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults going through transitions and adjusting to life changes. I am trained in Perinatal Mental Health and enjoy supporting perinatal individuals through the often overwhelming journey of pregnancy and caring for young children. I also have training in both Child-Parent Psychotherapy, a therapy model used to support children 0-5 and their caregiver(s) feel safer and more secure - including perinatal individuals, and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, a therapy model used to help children and teens improve relationships and manage stress.

I have worked with children, families, and individuals who have experienced a wide range of first or second-hand trauma. These experiences include:

  • economic distress
  • temporary or permanent loss
  • transitions due to the pandemic
  • relocation of home and/or school
  • illness/medical procedures for self or loved ones
  • witnessing or being involved in any life-threatening event
  • family structure changes like divorce/separation, new siblings or blended families

Executive Functioning Guidance

I help individuals build generalizable skills for their lives including those that address organization, information synthesis, and critical thinking and writing. These skills aim to set you or your child up for success in all areas of life so you or your child can break through the barriers that hold many back from achieving greater success.
