Tot Time is offered on Monday and Friday mornings (9:30-11:30am) as a two-day option or on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings (9:30-11:30am) as a three-day option. It is your choice as to which time slot you sign up for. Students (ages 3 and 4) follow a structured schedule filled with music, art, movement, and pre-readiness activities. The curriculum is theme based and the class size is small (4-6 kids). The program is an age-appropriate combination of academic, social and emotional goals. It embraces a whole-child philosophy where both individual and group activities are utilized. We focus on learning to understand and express feelings. The program teaches basic preschool concepts through play and hands-on experiences. The class is a full year program. Payment is made two times a year.

Mommy and Me music classes are very interactive. The children use a variety of instruments and most of the songs they sing are nursery rhymes such as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I also use the flannel board and sing songs and activities that incorporate school readiness skills. Various movement activities using a parachute are integrated to encourage active learning. Mommy and Me art classes are sensory based and every class has either playdough, shaving cream or paint activities that follow various themes. During each class, I will read a story and there will be a craft that follows the book theme. The classes consist of children similar in age, max 5 kids per session. It is a child led experience to explore 4 different multi-sensory stations at their own pace. The stations are broken into 4 categories: dry sensory bin, a sensory activity or craft, painting project, and a table top sensory play experience.

Yoga classes are offered once a week on Tuesdays at 3:30pm and children are provided with their own mats and learn mindfulness techniques as they master basic yoga poses. Ages range from 5 to 7 year olds. On Mondays at 3:30-4:15pm, reading instruction is offered for kindergarten/first graders to teach them systematic reading rules and develop strong phonemic awareness skills. Instruction is given through a multi-sensory and phonic approach. Weekly, I work closely with parents because carryover between home and school is vital. As with the lego classes each week, the children follow a routine. At the end of the class, each of them share what they have built. I take photos of their creations and send them to their parents. They will also have some free unstructured time to build or play. For preschool aged children, duplos are used and for the older students, we use the regular size legos. These classes promote language skills, problem solving, creative expression and social skills. I do have an assistant teacher that help me in both lego classes.
