Camp Herrlich Summer Day Camp 2026 Where Camp Changes Lives Nestled on 156 beautiful acres in Patterson, NY, Camp Herrlich offers children an unforgettable summer filled with adventure, friendship, and growth. With two lakes, wooded hiking trails, open fields, streams, courts, and dedicated activity areas, our campus provides the perfect setting for kids to explore the outdoors, build confidence, and create lifelong memories. Our Summer Day Camp serves children ages ~4 through those finishing 9th grade. Campers are grouped to ensure meaningful connections and age-appropriate experiences. From our youngest Pre-K and Kindergarten campers—who enjoy appropriate activity blocks and special themed group activities—to our oldest campers taking on high ropes, ziplining, kayaking, and other opportunities, every child is challenged and supported at their level. Each day is packed with activities for all age groups. Campers may enjoy swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, gaga, sports and team-building games, archery, arts & crafts, music, DJ parties, photography, gardening, ecology, farm life, and all-camp events. Our popular theme weeks—like Pirates, Around the World, Disney, Olympics, Safari, and more—add excitement and creativity all summer long. Special highlights include Carnival, Talent Show, and Olympic Week! At Camp Herrlich, we focus on more than just fun. Our programs are intentionally designed to foster character development, empathy, leadership, and social skills. Through positive reinforcement and supportive mentorship, campers grow in confidence while learning respect for others. For teens finishing 8th grade, our four-week Leaders in Training (LIT) program offers a comprehensive leadership experience designed to prepare campers to transition into future staff roles. It’s an intensive and rewarding opportunity for those ready to take the next step in their camp journey. Safety is always our top priority. Camp Herrlich is accredited by the American Camp Association and permitted by the New York State Department of Health. Our staff undergo thorough training, and a full-time health professional is on-site with a fully equipped health center to ensure campers’ well-being. Camp hours run 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with optional Before Care (7:00 a.m.) and After Care (until 6:00 p.m.) available to accommodate working families. Lunch and an afternoon snack are included daily. Families can register for one week, all nine weeks, or anything in between—we work with your schedule.
