The Unsilent Picture is a new event this fall from Historic Hudson Valley. Settle in to an eerie evening performance featuring an original silent film starring Bill Irwin accompanied by live musicians and an in-the-flesh special effects Foley artist. Inspired by Washington Irving’s spooky tale “The Adventure of the Mysterious Picture,” the film was shot on location in the historic buildings of nearby Van Cortland Manor. Steeped in dark and moody turn-of-the-19th-century atmosphere, The Unsilent Picture unbends reality in the true spirit of Sleepy Hollow. This event runs approximately 40 minutes so you can easily combine this experience with Horseman’s Hollow and/or Irving’s ‘Legend." Recommended for children 10+.
