Description
Each April, the Westchester Parks Foundation and the Westchester County Parks Department host Pitch In For Parks, the largest County-wide volunteer program surrounding Earth Day. This year it will be held April 18-22. Volunteers at Ward Pound Ridge will be supporting the park in a variety of tasks, which may include invasive species removal. Volunteers will work from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Please sign up below before the project and check in upon arrival.
Registration for this opportunity ends 24 hours before the project start time.
What to know:
- Dress for the weather; check the forecast before leaving
- Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and items that can get dirty
- All supplies will be provided but please bring a reusable water bottle
- Gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them
