Lace up those skates and hit the rink this winter in Westchester County and beyond! Need some ideas for places to skate close to Armonk, Chappaqua, Mount Kisco, and Pleasantville? Westchester County and the Hudson Valley have lots of great options for ice skating family fun.

Mount Pleasant Ice Skating

Free ice skating for residents is available at Leith's Pond on Rolling Hill Road at Carroll Park in Thornwood, Opperman's Pond on Lake Drive and Bedford Road (Rte 117) in Pleasantville, and Bear Ridge Lake on Lake Shore Drive in Pleasantville. A sign will be posted when the ice is safe to skate on. For skating conditions, call the Recreation Hotline at (914) 742-2364.

Harvey School, Katonah

In cooperation with the Harvey School the department is offering public recreational skating for all ages.

FEE: $5 per person (pay at the door)
Space is limited. You must supply your own skates. No hockey playing permitted. DJ will be on hand, spinning favorites and requests for two hours of open skating!

12:45pm – 2:45pm on the following dates:
Friday, December 27 (Friday after Christmas)
Monday, January 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
Monday, February 17 (President's Day)

Bear Mountain, Tomkins Cove

⛸️Parks and Towns⛸️

Westchester County Parks and Town Parks also have some skating options for that hometown feel. Note that skate rentals are typically not available at local parks.

Bathroom facilities may not be available during the winter months. Many of these options also have other opportunities for cold weather fun, such as sledding hills, and even ice fishing.
