Are you looking for Winter Break ideas to make the most of the time off with the kids? Here are a few ideas for memory-making.
As a researcher of all the things, I'm sharing the events and outings I have planned for my family with you in case it's helpful to have an itinerary ready to go! We have four children ranging from 1 to 14 so these ideas do span the ages.
-Hudson River Museum School's Out Events - We are heading to the Planetarium for a show, and you can also get scientific and creative in the family workshops over the weekend.
-Pop-Up Skating at the Cross County Center: I'm bringing my teenage step-daughter here for some bonding time together at this annual event. The ice is made of a smoother materials that's great for younger children, too.
-Winter Break Camp with The Rewilding School: There is still one day left! Monday, December 30th.
-My husband and I are going to Old Sturbridge Village for a night away that's within(ish) a two hour drive. They have a Christmas Village you can walk by candelight that I found out about from Kids Out and About!
-Noon Years' Eve with Briarcliff Manor Recreation Department. I'm running it so makes it easy to celebrate with my family! There is one spot left for a family to snag. Briarcliffmanor.gov to register.
-Frozen and Encanto on Ice in Newark next weekend is on the list for me and my three year old with friends. Tickets start around $20 - can't beat that!
-We'll also get to one of our highlights every season...
